Beginner's Guide to Astro

What is Headless CMS?

A content system that stores and edits your content but leaves the display to your site.

A traditional CMS like WordPress does both jobs: it holds your content and it draws the pages. A headless CMS only holds the content, and hands it out as data. Your Astro site fetches that data and decides how it looks.

Most CMS options that work with Astro are headless.
