Model Context Protocol: a standard way to give an AI tool access to outside information, such as live documentation.
Astro runs an official MCP server at mcp.docs.astro.build so tools like Claude Code and Codex can read the current docs instead of relying on memory. EmDash projects ship with a similar connection to the EmDash docs.
